Ilkley Brewery scoops more success.

It was nice to hear of Ilkley Breweries award at the recent Pendle Beer Festival.Their 'Mary Jane' landed the best beer at the festival. Not bad out of 170 at the festival.
Ilkley produce a great range of beers from their brewery on the outskirts of the town.I was kindly invited last week and received a warm welcome from Director Stewart Ross.Stewart is typical of the brewers you meet.Passionate about their product and always having time to show you around. And more than happy to answer your questions.
Stewart was delighted about the top award for 'Mary Jane'.He added that it was 'special to receive the best beer accolade. as Pendle is rated one of the top festivals, up here in the north'.
Of course, Ilkley have many delicious ales. The Lotus IPA is my favourite.A classic, smooth, fruity, full bodied ale at 5.6%. Ilkley Gold is another favourite. An ideal, light 'session ale' at 3.9%.
Watch out for their beers. They are excellent. Spoilt for choice to be honest! I wish them every success.
