BEER FESTIVAL OFF TO A FINE START!

Just a short blog to update you on the first Burnley Beer Festival, organised and run by the local East Lancs. CAMRA branch.
The first day got off to a cracking start on Thursday.
F
FIRST FESTIVAL UNDERWAY
The festival opened its doors at 11.45am and saw a steady stream of customers for the normally 'quiet period' in the festival, including a couple from Hull.
It was also nice to see quite a few people who follow my blogs, and getting some positive feedback.I even had a request for my 'mug shot'! Cheers for the nice comments from you all. :-)
Over a 100 beers and 15 ciders/perries at the event.
SCOTTISH DELIGHT
My favourite beer on the first day was the Stewart Brewery 'Edinburgh Gold'. A truly refreshing, golden ale, bursting with flavour.A top tipple from north of the border.
The festival will have live entertainment Friday and Saturday night. The event is free entry all sessions for CAMRA members.
Finally, for now, if you are coming to this friendly festival, there is a £1.50 guest ale voucher in the programme. It can be redeemed at Lloyds No.1 Bar,which is next door to the venue.Or the Boot Inn Wetherspoons, in the town centre, across from McDonalds.
