Why would you want to pay 70p more for an inferior pint of stout? Not surprisingly more and more pubs are ditching the Guinness pump, as customers drink more alternative stouts and mild beers.

I sampled an excellent keg stout in the Bridge Bier Huis in Burnley recently.
Sam Smiths Extra Stout was a far superior slurp, to the bland, wishy-washy Guinness. And it was 70p cheaper at £2.50 a pint.

No wonder Guinness is no longer on the bar - there's no demand for it!
It was the same situation at another pub, where the superb, Coach House, Gunpowder Mild, had replaced the black stuff from across the Irish Sea. smile emoticon

I always have a pint of this stuff when I drop into the Red Lion at Colne. It's £2.20 a pint and delicious.
